If you can get to the in and out hoses what I would do is just drain the fluid and check it for milkyness. Then if you really want to get Obsessive Compulsive I would connect the two hoses and run the tranny with fluid for a few minutes and then disconnect and drain and refill. If you have a fluid cooler NOW would be a good time to remove it and inspect for impeller pieces and prevent flow obstruction. I found mine clogged with old impeller from way back before I owned the boat.
