1979 34' Uniflite,270 Crusaders,Velvet Drives # 10-04-000-002, V drives, 650 hours, fresh water only. After being run under full throttle for 1 hour port trans would not return to neutral. discovered unit to be very hot & had lost 1.5 quarts fluid. Let unit cool, replaced fluid & now it seems fine. No water in fluid. I suspect problem will return if run hard again. Unit is not slipping & shifts fine. Not sure if heat was a result of fluid loss or vise/versa. what could cause this?, which model units are these? are there any screens or filters which should be changed? Also impellers are new & port engine remianed at 160 degrees. thank you for your time.
